Choosing Futures Waikato is a joint initiative of Waikato Local Authorities: Franklin, Hamilton, Hauraki, Matamata-Piako, Otorohanga, Rotorua, South Waikato, Taupo, Thames-Coromandel, Waikato, Waipa, Waitomo and Environment Waikato.
Choosing Futures Waikato is a collaborative process to identify Community Outcomes for the Waikato region and to work towards achieving those goals. It will also include monitoring and reporting on progress made to achieve our regional Community Outcomes.
A Community Outcomes Project Team comprising representatives from Waikato councils has been formed. A co-ordinator has been appointed to facilitate the processes, funded by the councils. This approach has been developed to ensure all of the councils in the Waikato are able to contribute to - and benefit from - the process.
